I do not have sensitive skin, but somehow the metal in this clasp has caused a bad reaction in my skin. I switched wrists and it began on the other side. I’ve been wearing my Original Apple band since October until this past weekend when I finally tried this one. I have never had an issue with my original band. The itchy rash is still present on both wrists. I am discontinuing use of this band tonight. Secondly, the clasp is not secure. I was digging in a basket in my stroller and later realized my watch was completely missing. I used my tracker to see it had fallen off in the stroller basket. My original band never once unclasped. My third complaint is the lack of sizing options. The band is very small and comparatively to the original, doesn’t have as many spots for tightening or loosening the band. See video- hard to explain. |

| Power Source | So writing this review honestly makes me sad. This band is phenomenal where comfort is concerned. It’s also durable and very cute. I LOVE this band but like many others I am having a rather severe allergic reaction to the metal piece in the band. I have a dime sized red mark on my wrist where the metal piece rubs. It almost looks like a burn and also under my skin there is a hard lump. Then the icing on the cake is ALL of my lymph nodes are severely swollen and my wrist is sore in about a 3” diameter around the irritated spot. I noticed over the last couple of days my lymph nodes started swelling but didn’t put two and two together until tonight when I took my band off and lined up the time line. I’ve had this type of allergic reaction one other time in the past and it was also to a specific type of metal and the same thing happened then. If it wouldn’t be for the allergic reaction this band would be a 5/5 for me. I hope others have better luck. |
