| Model Number | UPDATE 11/21: the REAL Kate Spade watch band has fallen apart after <6 months of non-daily use. I wore it infrequently and am very gentle with my things. Feels substantial and looks nice, but not durable at all.I purchased this watchband and assumed what I received was real. The box it came it had been opened, but the watchband appeared legitimate. Over the next week of wearing it, I noticed it continually came unlatched, allowing my Apple Watch to fall off of my wrist. I asked Amazon for a replacement, assuming it was defective. But when I got the replacement, I realized it was TOTALLY DIFFERENT than the band I originally received. See pictures: the real KS band (on left) is stamped on the rear with their logo and ‘stainless steel’. The fake band (on right) is not stamped at all. The links of the real (left) vs counterfeit (right) band are different widths and the quality of the latches differ. And, the real band from KS is much heavier. The latches feel much more substantial and secure. AND it fits my wrist better. So glad I got the real thing. Beware of counterfeit products being sold here! |
| Color | The watch band can have links removed to adjust for size. Unfortunately, the manufacturer, does not include instructions. On the Kate Spade website, there also are no instructions. Many websites told me to go to a jewelry store. DO NOT!! It is easy to adjust with NO TOOLS! (again, a simple insert, comments on the box, or even a picture of how to do it would have saved me over 1 hour of attempts, google searches, etc. The secret to adjust is this: turn the watch band over (much easier to do this when it is not attached to the watch) on the back side of the first 4 links on each side of the clasp you can see a hinge. Turn the band over to the front side, tilt the hinge up so you can, with a fingernail, pop open the hinge. To close, just snap it shut. No tools needed. |
| Material | I was stunned at how unattractive this was. It was clunky and it is a very shiny “version” of the Apple Watch rose/gold which didn’t make sense on my wrist. It looked a bit confusing. I’m a huge Kate Spade fan but this was extremely disappointing, especially for the price. |
